New opportunity – Content Manager/PR Executive

As a result of client growth, a leading international automotive PR and press release management agency has an exciting new vacancy for an organised, clear-thinking individual for an exciting new position with a clear career path, based initially in the UK with secondment periods to the USA.

We are a company that works with major car manufacturers and across the automotive industry, in the UK, USA, Europe and Australia, managing press materials on digital platforms and providing PR and event services.

The role we are looking to recruit will work within a committed and friendly team initially managing press materials on a variety of digital platforms tailored for automotive journalists’ use. That’s why we need a stickler for detail who is computer-literate with a friendly, client-facing attitude.

To start the post can be based at either our Horsham office or our new Oxfordshire base, depending on the successful applicant’s location. Once fully trained, the candidate will be expected to work alongside our OEM automotive clients for extended periods in California and/or Washington D.C.

The role has the potential to develop into a full automotive PR account handler role, either in the UK or USA. The role will ideally suit someone with a keen interest in cars and media looking to start their career in automotive PR, or an existing junior journalist or PR looking to spread their wings and work overseas.

From the outset, strong interpersonal skills, a calm demeanour as well as a good command of English will be key. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and an understanding of Content Management Systems would be an advantage. Full training will be given.

The starting salary is from £18,000 depending on experience and will increase to £20,000 after six months. The US secondment will include fully paid-for accommodation and travel costs and permission to work in the USA via a company held VISA.
