Newspress has acquired specialist automotive PR agency Market Engineering in a move that strengthens the capabilities of both companies.

Market Engineering is a highly specialised and successful agency developed around the PR and corporate communications requirements of the world’s leading automotive technology suppliers. For more than two decades it has worked with many of the industry’s innovators, from multi-billion-pound global Tier 1s to household-name vehicle safety innovators and specialist IP development companies. The firm’s marketing-driven approach has also resulted in a highly-regarded business with prestige vehicle manufacturers across Europe.

Market Engineering will continue to operate under its own name and its founder Richard Gotch will remain an active part of the operation. Market Engineering clients will benefit from access to complementary expertise in many areas, including video, social-media and creative, as well as increased global reach through the world-leading Newspress press information distribution services.

Newspress managing director Tim Barfoot said: “We’re delighted to welcome the Market Engineering team into the Newspress fold. The key message right now is that it is business as usual for, Newspress Creative and Market Engineering, strengthened by bringing together two teams with highly complementary expertise.

“The teaming up of the two companies marks the beginning of a new era in automotive PR, building on the reputations of two of the sector’s longest established brands, both global leaders in their respective areas.”

Market Engineering’s founder, Richard Gotch, said: “We are all very excited to be working together and building on each other’s expertise. I feel the Market Engineering brand, now established for more than 25 years, will go on to be even stronger as part of the ever-growing Newspress operation, which itself has operated right at the heart of automotive PR for more than 45 years.”
